devastation

early morning
driving the car five metres to work
smoke a cigarr
too lazy to walk
just let the radio play
'cause we don't need the energy but much more electricity

midday and we want a break
driving home for eating cake
made out of wheat we just got
from other countries which have not enough to feed their people daily

at night we sit in front of the tv
which's been turned on for the last five days
watching the news
the war in the middle east
doesn't bother me



now we're sitting there starring at the rising sun
finally we made it, earth's destroyed
now tell me, what we gonna do now when nothing's around
thank you all for showing the obligated respect
i thank myself for doing the same
now we can watch world going down
if that is what we wanted
what a shame
